Paranormal Pioneers

Harry Price ( 1881– 1948) was a British psychic researcher and author, who gained public prominence for his investigations into psychical phenomena and his exposing of fake Spiritualists. He is best known for his well-publicized investigation of the purportedly haunted Borley Rectory in Essex, England.
Price is one of the most controversial and famous psychic researchers and authors in the history of spiritualist studies. He is particularly famous for being maligned by many of his peers but simultaneously becoming extremely popular with the public due to his fascinating studies on haunted houses, psychic activity, mediumship and other supernormal phenomena.
Price re-established the Ghost Club,( the Ghost Club is a paranormal investigation and research organization that was founded in London in 1862. It is widely believed to be the oldest such organization in the world, focusing on paranormal phenomena such as ghosts and hauntings ), modernising it and changing it from a spiritualist association to a group of open-minded sceptics that gathered to discuss paranormal topics. He was also the first to admit women to the club.

What Are Orbs ?

Orbs captured on film arouse curiosity in even the most hardened skeptic. Some investigators study spirit orbs or ghost orbs, believing that they be spirits of the dead or ghosts. Many dismiss these orbs as nothing more than pollen, dust or moisture captured the instant the investigator snapped a picture.

True ghost hunters never take great quantities of orbs in photographs as proof of the paranormal. They carefully study each picture, dismissing any that are questionable.

Even among the photos they feel genuinely represent orbs, few use orbs alone to substantiate claims of paranormal activity. Orbs lend credence, but in and of themselves they are not used as evidence to support claims of a haunting.

Most Haunted

Gettysburg was the site where Confederate and Union armies
clashed on July 1, 1863. It turned out to be a three-day bloodbath that would change American history forever. When the canon smoke cleared, the Union soldiers had won, but nearly 5,000 horses and 50,000 men lay dead or dying. Many of the Confederate soldiers never received a proper burial. Now, more the 14 decades later, these unsettled spirits may still lurk in Gettysburg.
For the past 100 years, both visitors and locals alike have heard gunfire, multiple hoofbeats and full body apparitions, in period dress.
